Hanuman is known for its bold, distinctive flavours created by mixing Khmer tradition with European brewing techniques to create premium beverages with “greatness in every drop”. Not only are their beverages successful household names and loved across Cambodia and overseas, but the company is also highly passionate about its sustainable business practices for the protection of the natural environment and commits itself to the the growth of the Cambodian economy and communities; leading the way in corporate social responsibility in Cambodia.
This highly-anticipated, landmark development is “the most modern facility of its kind” in Southeast Asia, of which IntES and Hanuman are rightly very proud. Utilising advanced brewing technology, this state-of-the-art brewery is leading the way in innovation. Hanuman has a deep commitment to the environment and its sustainability practices are world-class; demonstrated well in this facility. The plant’s waste water recycling system saves and re-uses 90% of the facility’s processed water – a great step towards Hanuman’s sustainability goal of becoming Cambodia’s first climate-positive brewery. This large development area of 19.5 hectares is also having a positive impact on the local economy with the huge numbers of jobs created at the new complex.
At first, IntES was chosen by Hanuman to conduct a design review and also engaged our PCM services for the Brewery zone of the project. However, after working collaboratively with Hanuman’s team for 5 months, we were delighted that Hanuman were so pleased with our work that the scope was increased to also include the office building, the overall infrastructure, and procurement support – nearly double the original scope.
Being the project consultants for the Hanuman Brewery meant IntES managed all streams of this fast-tracked project simultaneously (including design, procurement and construction) in order to ensure the project was finished on time. Not only on-time, but to the highest standards, and within budget – which is why IntES was also asked to conduct Value Engineering and Constructability studies too.

Now that the project is complete and the new Hanuman Brewery is fully operational, we look back with pride upon the results achieved, having met all key objectives:
A highly interesting and rewarding project to be a part of; the teams we worked in collaboration with (suppliers and contractors) and notably working hand-in-hand as an extension of The Hanuman Beverages team has made this project a pleasure to be involved with and something IntES is very proud to have worked on.
