We are delighted to announce that Kingspan, a global leader in high-performance insulation and building envelope solutions and sustainable building innovations, has selected IntES as their main EPCm consultant for their new greenfield factory in Vung Tau, Southern Vietnam.
As a global leader in sustainable business, Kingspan’s products and systems enable high-performance buildings through their innovation in advanced building materials which allow for the creation of more eco-friendly, ‘greener’ buildings and building processes. They have a world-leading sustainability ethic and a strong vision to de-carbonise the construction sector and drive the creation of eco-friendly, sustainable buildings through their product innovation; a vital mission which we at IntES are hugely supportive of.
Kingspan advanced insulated panels are used in wide range of applications, such as cold storages, and clean rooms or when enhanced thermal or fire performance is needed. Their innovative and highly acclaimed solutions, products and systems have also been used in some of the most notable high-performance and ‘green’ building design projects of recent years including Singapore Changi Airport’s new Jewel complex and the V&A Design museum in Dundee, Scotland.
Kingspan have seen rapidly increasing market demand for their products as more and more companies around the world wake up to the issues of climate change and the role the construction & building industry plays in meeting those challenges. This new factory in Vietnam will help to respond to this increased need for Kingspan-products.
It follows of course that this project itself will therefore have sustainability at its heart, employing a high-value approach with ‘greener’ construction materials and energy-saving processes being used throughout the project.
IntES’ services for the project cover the whole value chain from soil survey to engineering, procurement support, project management and construction management. As the main EPCm consultants we are excited to be part of this highly interesting project and look forward to creating this modern factory for a truly inspiring client. The project timeline is such that the completion and commissioning of the new factory will happen in 2022.
