Project Evaluation Review

Some projects run well and others encounter many problems. But, whether it was a great project or in the category of “could have done better” it is vitally important to learn the lessons from the project (good and bad) and share them throughout your organisation with a project evaluation review.

Our consultants can structure and lead a formalised project review as a formal close out activity generating a project evaluation report.

Methodology & Deliverables

• Interviews with key members of the project team.
• Interviews with key members of the organization affected by the project.
• Short workshop utilising a tried and tested project review form to rate the performance of the project in key areas. Goals & Plans; Organisation & Controls, Leadership & Teamwork.
• Review is compared to initial project documents such as business case, project charter, baseline planning etc.
• Review the performance of suppliers and contractors involved in the project. Rate them and amend preferred suppliers register.
• Issue a project evaluation report with key findings and lessons learned for future projects.

Who is involved?

Representatives from key departments in the organisation (e.g. HSE, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Demand Chain, HR, and people who were directly involved in the project e.g. Project Owner, Project Director, Project manager, Lead Engineers, Operational Readiness Manager.

Timing – when should this consultancy be engaged?

At the end of the project after start-up, when the performance of the project compared to objectives can be properly evaluated.
