Happy Holidays from IntES!

It’s been another fantastic year at IntES, and we’re sincerely grateful to our clients and partners for their continued trust and collaboration. We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every member of the IntES family around the world—your dedication, expertise, and hard work are what make our company both highly successful and such a rewarding place to work. As the year comes to a close, we take this moment to reflect on the achievements and milestones we’ve reached together, and to look forward with excitement to the opportunities and growth the new year will bring.

IntES Team Highlights of the Year:

With such a busy and productive year full of individual and team successes, we asked our teams in each country what the highlights of their year were, and here are just a small selection of the responses we received:

Long Hoang (IntES Managing Director) said, “One keyword I would choose for 2025 is “stable.” Stable development, a stable workforce, stable revenue, and a stable commitment to our clients and projects. Together, we have proven ourselves to be a trusted EPCM consultant—continuing to support repeat clients while also winning sizable new projects. Our team is not only deeply dedicated to their profession, but also genuinely committed to socially responsible initiatives.”

Jesper (IntES The Netherlands Process Plant Engineering Manager) said, “I enjoyed the wide variety of engineering disciplines we are able to provide to our clients—especially utility design, architectural studies, developing detailed blueprints for a patented technology to be exported to Canada, and managing Automation and Control (E&I and controls) for a process line. I also valued developing new approaches to enter the recycling market by offering innovative services to potential scale-ups, such as the TRL roadmap. Last but not least, I deeply appreciated the support and warmth from my IntES colleagues after starting my family here.”

Giang Nguyen (IntES Cambodia Office Director cum Project Manager) said, “When I look back on 2025, several milestones really stand out. One of the most important was continuing Phase 2 of a major project with a highly respected client in Cambodia, following the success of Phase 1 in 2021. Another highlight was our expansion into the high-rise building sector, where we provided design and construction management services. Internally, I’m also proud that IntES Cambodia became the first entity to pilot the ERP system before it was implemented across the group.”

Ly Nguyen (IntES Financial Director said, “For me, 2025 was a year that showed what IntES can achieve through dedication and perseverance. We worked on many extensive projects and truly saw the results of our collective effort and patience. Beyond business, I especially appreciated the internal training sessions and the badminton championship, which reflected how much the Board of Directors values our people and long-term development. Overall, 2025 stands out as a year of strong commitment and steady growth.”

Nguyen Vu (IntES Vietnam Civil & Structure Department Manager) said: “This year 2025, we took pride in being trusted by our board of directors in several projects. To our team of C&S, I am grateful that our members are well developed and understand each other better, have new tools that help facilitate the work, improved checklists & templates, and more experience with more projects constructed.”

Hanh Le (IntES HR Specialist) said: “As the HR specialist, I’m really proud of how smoothly our procedures run and how well everyone follows the policies. I also appreciate how people across departments take responsibility and are always willing to help each other. And if to say it as an IntES employee, the most joyful activity is the badminton championship. I had a helpful and healthy time with our colleagues!”

International Celebrations & Traditions:

As IntES is a truly international company made up of multi-national teams, we thought we’d share a few of our local traditions and holiday celebrations with you:

The Netherlands:
In the Netherlands, we start our festivities with Sinterklaas on 5–6 December, when St. Nicholas arrives by steamboat and children leave their shoes out for small gifts and treats. On Pakjesavond (5 December), we exchange presents along with playful, rhyming poems and plenty of marzipan and chocolate letters. Christmas is a warm, cozy family celebration with festive meals like gourmetten, lights, and time together. And to welcome the New Year, we enjoy fireworks, oliebollen, and sometimes (for the brave) even a chilly Nieuwjaarsduik sea plunge!

Vietnam:

In Vietnam, Christmas is a bright and joyful celebration, especially in big cities where streets sparkle with lights and decorations. Christmas Eve is our main celebration, with huge crowds enjoying activities at the churches, street food, photos, and festive energy. You’ll often spot Ông già Noel (Santa) handing out small gifts and giving to the kids around the street and houses. We enjoy a mix of Western-style treats like Bûche de Noël along with hotpots and local snacks before turning our attention to Tết, our biggest holiday of the year.

Cambodia:

In Cambodia, Christmas isn’t a traditional Khmer holiday, but we still enjoy the festive atmosphere in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, where hotels, restaurants, and streets sparkle with colourful decorations. Friends and colleagues gather for dinners, events, and a light-hearted seasonal mood. New Year’s Eve is the real highlight for us, with fireworks, concerts, and big street celebrations. Earlier in the season, we also enjoy the Bon Om Touk Water Festival, known for its boat races, moon ceremonies, and traditional snacks like Auk Ambok.

Indonesia:

In Indonesia, we celebrate Christmas with a blend of familiar global traditions and unique local customs across our diverse islands. Many of us attend beautifully decorated church services, enjoy carols, and share treats like nastar and kastengel. Different regions bring something special—bamboo torches in North Sulawesi, Ngejot food-sharing in Bali, and Wayang Wahyu puppet shows in Java. Whether at home or around town, it’s a warm and welcoming season shared with family, neighbours, and friends.

Côte d’Ivoire:

In Côte d’Ivoire, Christmas is a vibrant and deeply communal celebration filled with powerful African cultural expression. Our all-night church services starting on December 24th are full of singing, drumming, dancing and joyful worship that last until sunrise of December 25th. One of the most cherished traditions is the spontaneous, communal dancing that erupts in churches, homes, and neighbourhoods — a true reflection of shared happiness and cultural unity. Families visit one another in bright new outfits and enjoy dishes like attiéké, grilled chicken, and spicy kédjénou. For us, the season is all about togetherness, joy, and welcoming a prosperous New Year.

Wherever you are celebrating this season, we wish you all a wonderful holiday time from all of us at IntES. Wishing you and your families all the best for the new year and every success and happiness in 2026!
