Job Description:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Design and Development: Oversee the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems and components, utilizing 3D-CAD software (such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, SolidWorks).
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support between the client and the engineering team, reviewing and approving design plans, calculations, and specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, architectural, and manufacturing engineers, to integrate mechanical designs into overall project plans.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve engineering issues and challenges, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Client Interaction: Interface with clients to understand their requirements, present design concepts, and provide technical support and updates.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and manage engineering teams, with project management skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Dutch and English, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
