What you will do:
As a Project Engineer, you will lead the engineering design process for innovative, green-focused projects. You’ll be responsible for developing engineering designs, ensuring technical accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact, sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Preliminary Engineering Studies: Lead and coordinate upstream engineering studies to support project feasibility and design decisions.
- Detail Engineering Development: Spearhead the creation of detailed designs, system drawings, and material take-offs for various (green tech) projects.
- Procurement Support: Assist in procurement activities, ensuring that the technical specifications align with project requirements.
- Quality Control: Develop and implement the project execution plan for embedding the quality deliverables. Propose solutions in the event of any non-conformities and contribute by initiating proposals for improvements continuously.
- Project Delivery: Conduct site visits to ensure all required information is available for project execution.
- Engineering Services for Construction: Provide continuous engineering support during construction phases, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Database Management: Build and maintain technical and vendor databases to support project delivery and future proposals.
- Continuous Improvement: Collect and consolidate design materials to streamline processes. Actively contribute to improving the engineering team’s design performance through knowledge-sharing and mentoring.
- Training and Development: Participate in training activities to further develop your skills and stay at the forefront of industry trends.
- Cross-Disciplinary Support: Provide engineering support to all disciplines as required to ensure the success of integrated project solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in engineering, preferably in the green tech or circular economy sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoDesk software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit etc.) and a strong understanding of design principles, and design processes.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering teams to support the Project Manager.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within an international multidisciplinary team to deliver successful project outcomes.
