FEL-2 and FEL-3 Study for New Pilot Plant Facilities
Our client engaged IntES to conduct a thorough FEL-2 and FEL-3 study for the utilities of a new pilot plant.
Overview:
Client: Circular Plastics Company
Project: R-PET production plan
IntES’s Services: Project Management, Construction Management
Circular Plastics Company (CPC) is a Singapore-based regional plastic recycler with operations in Myanmar and Vietnam, specializing in recycling post-consumer PET plastics goods into food-grade PET products. Their mission and vision are to build a sustainable business platform that produces high-quality recycled products and to become the leading PET recycler in Asia, focusing on the circular plastic economy. As a recycler, CPC is committed to collaborating with local organizations not only to contribute to plastic circularity but also to demonstrate the business’s social responsibility.
rPET Flakes
Recycled PET flakes play a pivotal role in sustainable manufacturing processes. They are primarily utilized in the production of various recycled PET products, including polyester fibers used in textiles like clothing and home furnishings, as well as in packaging materials. rPET flakes are instrumental in reducing environmental impact by diverting plastic waste from landfills and conserving valuable resources, making them an essential component in the circular economy.
rPET Pellets
Food-grade rPET pellets are widely employed in the packaging industry to create sustainable and safe food containers and bottles. These pellets are known for their excellent properties, including resistance to moisture and oxygen, making them ideal for storing food and beverages. They play a crucial role in reducing single-use plastic and promoting eco-friendly packaging solutions.
The plan of our client is to build the R-PET production plant in Vung Tau, Vietnam. Its capacity is expected to be about 30,000 tons/year, which includes the raw material yard, separate line for flakes and R-PET products, finishing goods warehouse, office & canteen area, etc.
This is CPC’s first facility in Vietnam, and our client would like to select a professional consultant to coordinate with. After a thorough evaluation and selection process, CPC entrusted IntES with both project management and construction management, thanks to our proven track record with similar projects in Southeast Asia, aligning with CPC. The construction phase started in August 2024 (see the groundbreaking news here). To support our client as best, IntES had appointed dedicated members to the site, taking responsibility for our scope of work with the client. Knowing that quality and safety are the most important aspects that both the client and IntES aim for, we planned and monitored the activities both onsite and offsite thoroughly.
IntES is happy to announce that we have completed the project and took pride in joining the grand opening ceremony in June 2025. Our team is thrilled to have contributed to this significant milestone of CPC, as well as the circular economy in Vietnam. We are looking forward to future opportunities to collaborate with the CPC team on the next innovative projects.
As the international and professional consultant for EPCM, we are always striving to utilize our extensive experience in the field with our expert solutions. In addition, our collaborative approach and strong commitment to safety and quality are crucial factors in driving our clients’ decision to choose IntES as their partner.
